PFCC Signup Information
Please read through all of the information on this page carefully. There are specific requirements that must be satisfied for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), USRowing, and the crew team.
Dues for the 2025 Spring Season:
Cost: $1,250 per athlete*
*Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued after the first full week of practice.
Dues Include:
Use of equipment
Regatta entry fees
Hospitality tent at races (food for athletes and families)
Bus transportation for regattas held at Sandy Run Park (Occoquan)
Dues Do Not Include:
Winter training fees (see below)
Uniforms (information on purchasing uniforms will be provided)
USRowing membership (details below)
Parent/Family Volunteer Requirements: Each rower’s parent or family must volunteer with the club in some capacity. **
Volunteer roles include:
Supporting regattas
Contributing to the hospitality tent at races
Assisting the head coach
**VASRA (Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association) requires each team to provide volunteers for regattas. Failure to meet these requirements results in fines for the team. No coaching or rowing experience is necessary to help out. A complete list of volunteer opportunities will be communicated during the season.
Tryouts: ***First year all athletes welcome.
LCPS Requirements: All athletes must complete the following LCPS requirements prior to tryouts:
Register with LCPS online for Crew and complete the required training.
Submit the necessary LCPS physical (refer to the Required Forms for Participation).
Deadline: All LCPS requirements must be completed and submitted by February 24.
Note: No athletic fee is payable to LCPS for crew participants.
Swimming Proficiency Test
Basic swimming proficiency is required for all athletes as mandated by USRowing.
Who Needs the Test? New athletes who have never taken a swim test for crew.
Scheduling: Swim tests will be scheduled after the team roster is announced.

Winter Training (Optional):
Winter training is available to help athletes prepare for tryouts and get in shape for the spring season.

Dates: December - February
Cost:
Monthly Training: $250/month
Winter Training Package: $750 (covers the entire period)
These fees are not included in the team dues. Interested athletes should register directly on the Maverick Rowing website.
